The consortium of Energy in Minds is formed by 6 cities each represent-
ing a member country of the EU. All cities are experienced in energy
matters and have shown in the past that they are capable of realising
innovative energy efficient systems.

■ The coordinator of the administrative and financial aspects is:
   - the Steinbeis-Transferzentrum Energie-, Gebäude – und
     Solartechnik, Stuttgart

■ In four municipalities or regions the overall energy situation will
   be optimised within Energy in Minds:

   - Energy Region Weiz-Gleisdorf in Austria
   - Zlin in the Czech Republic
   - Neckarsulm in Germany
   - Falkenberg in Sweden

   All four cities are very advanced in comparison to the average of
   their countries and have special experience in different parts of the
   energy chain. This special experience will complement the consorti-
   um to realise comprehensive solutions in every single city.

■ Two observer communities will be closely integrated in all training
   and knowledge exchange activities:

   - Provincia di Torino in Italy
   - Gornji Grad in Slovenia

   Both are already very active in the field of RES (renewable energy
   sources) /RUE (rational use of energy) implementation in their terri-
   tory. Within the 5-year period of Energy in Minds they will locally
   undertake preparative measures in order to be ready for a full im-
   plementation of the Concerto approach in a few years.

■ It is the intention to include three to five more observer com-
   munities during the project time.
